Goodbye, 2017

Dear Visitors, I'm ready for this year to be over. I'm ready to start anew. When the year 2017 started, everyone thought the whole world would implode. But here we are at the end of December and we're still standing.  I'm also ready to start the year over because I'm ready to let go of all the shit that happened at the beginning of 2017. The beginning of this year sucked mostly because my best friend of 12+ years and I went our separate ways because of a stupid election. It really hurt to see that sometimes people allow politics interfere with their relationships. Besides the loss of a beautiful friendship, the beginning of the year held a lot of uncertainty. I applied for Graduate School, but still had this fear that I might be wasting my time and that I wouldn't identify with my peers or that I would totally be terrible at my internship placement. That One Whiny Chick

Dear Visitor, I hope you all had a fabulous Halloween! Mine was more laid back and I had to throw a last minute costume together, but I enjoyed myself! So I have this classmate who actually has the balls to ask if the final exam is mandatory. I've noticed that she always asks if things are mandatory. For example, we have labs that we have to complete. It's written in the syllabus AND our professor actually told us the first day of class that ...

Miss Me?

Dear Visitor, My greatest apologies for not keeping up with my Haunted Library. It turns out that the Masters Program has taken up majority of my time. Which is terrible because it doesn't leave much room for blogging or writing in general. However, as we learned in my Social Work classes, self care is very important. So maybe and can squeeze some time for this blog. Anyways, just because I haven't been writing doesn't mean I've been ignoring the horror genre. I have plenty of movies that I would love to talk with you about. So please be patient while I reorganize life and find the right balance for everything. With Love, M.G.
