Wonder Woman Hysteria

Dear Visitor, I finally got the chance to watch WONDER WOMAN with my family and, I must say, DC finally got it right with this one. I think it had the right balance of comedy, action, and even a hint of romance. What I love most about Diana was how she looked at the world with such wonder. It was like watching a sheltered girl experience the real world for the first time. She found a number of beautiful things about humanity but she also had the face its harsh realities and grow up fast. Leaving home for the first time will do that to you. But despite experiencing heartbreak and rage, she chose not to fall into despair and hate. She chose to be above it and turned to hope and love. That, to me, was BEAUTIFUL! But what I appreciate most was that this wasn't the uber feminist war cry that I was afraid it would be. Let's Talk AMERICAN GODS

Dear Visitor, I've always been fascinated with mythology of any kind. When I was a kid, my friends and I used to LOVE reading Greek and Egyptian mythology. We would sneak a library book into the playground during recess(it was prohibited to bring library books outside) and read these stories. We used to pretend that we were this gods and make up our own adventures. It was our favorite game to play. So when they announced AMERICAN GODS was going to be a show, I was enthusiastic about it. I was mostly interested because Bryan Fuller is involved with the show and I absolutely loved HANNIBAL so I  knew that this show would be gory as well as beautiful. Honestly, HANNIBAL was a work of art on a television screen. Despite the gruesome crime scenes and psychedelic dream sequences, it was pleasing to the eye.
