Danger in The Mist

Dear Visitor,

How about THE MIST? I have been excited for this show for a while! Although, I was a little underwhelmed.

Right out the gate they pile on a ton of Social Justice issues. I'm all for using entertainment to discussing real issues, but it was all on the nose. There was rape, slut shaming, homophobia, racism, comments on "toxic masculinity", and evil white cops.

I think they could've used the rest of the season to bring up all these issues. You know, spread out the issues to push the story along. People are going to be confined to small spaces; claustrophobia and paranoia are bound to set in. I'm really worried that this show is going to be constant virtue signaling and so far other commenters are saying the same thing.

I did enjoy how scary The Mist seemed. It was horrifying to see Brian's dog get his head ripped off. I hate seeing animals get hurt, even if it's fake. There was also this uptight bitch that got her jaw ripped off by a creature in The Mist. My first instinct was to shout "Karma, Bitch!!". Seriously, she was a jerk...

Anyways, I'm just going to keep watching a wait for my final verdict. I think it has a lot of potential and it might go somewhere.
